Top Natural Oils + Organic Remedies for Dry Skin
Create your own less expensive, nontoxic and chemical-free solutions to dry skin in minutes and the ingredients are often found in your kitchen.
My Favorite Oils for Face and Body
When you need deep moisturizing, argan oil, avocado oil, almond oil, carrot seed oil, olive oil, flax seed oil, rose seed oil, hemp seed oil and tamanu oil. I find coconut oil more cleansing or great light oil for summer or perfect as an after shower hair condition. Place sparingly on your ends or fly aways. Tea tree oil, I use it strictly for cleansing during breakouts, never as a moisturizer.
Create Your Own Body Scrub
Sea Salt Scrub
Grab the sea salt from your kitchen and mix with organic almond or olive oil, dab with your favorite essential oil and turmeric or your favorite spices. Get creative and add lavender, rosemary, or paprika.
Sugar Scrub
Instead of eating it, mix fine white sugar with grapeseed, jojoba or avocado oil and drop in your favorite essential oil like lavender, peppermint, rosemary or lemon.
Coffee Scrub
Recycle your coffee grounds and create the perfect cacao cinnamon coffee sugar scrub. Add 1 cup white sugar, 4 tablespoons finely ground coffee, 2 tablespoons cacao, 1 tablespoon cinnamon, 1 teaspoon cloves. Stir well. Then mix in one teaspoon pure vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly. Then pour 1/2 cup almond, hemp or avocado oil. Stir until consistent. Add more oil, 1 teaspoon at a time until you find just the right consistency.
Hydrate
Plump, glowing skin requires drinking tons of clean water. Forget eight glasses a day. For one week, try drinking almost two gallons everyday. You’ll get yourself a miracle. After a few weeks, you’ll have creamy, noticeably healthier skin. Add lemon in the morning for a gentle cleanse!
