High Society
INGREDIENTS
1 oz white port 1 oz gin 1 tbsp plain vegan yogurt 1⁄2 oz fresh lemon juice 10 blueberries
INSTRUCTIONS
• Combine all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Pour into a glass with fresh crushed ice and garnish with fresh basil flowers.
Cherry Blossom Sake Mule
INGREDIENTS
1 oz vodka 1 oz sake 1⁄2 oz fresh lime juice 1⁄2 oz sakura syrup (see below) 3 oz ginger beer
Sakura Syrup
1 tbsp cherry blossom tea blend 1⁄2 cup water 1⁄2 cup coconut sugar
INSTRUCTIONS
Cherry Blossom Sake Mule
• Combine all ingredients and serve over ice in a copper mug.
Sakura Syrup
• Combine tea, water and sugar in a pot over medium heat. Stir until sugar is fully dissolved. Bring to a boil, then let steep for 10 minutes. Allow to cool before storing in a glass container.
Strawberry & Watermelon Frosé
INGREDIENTS
2 oz vodka 4 oz lillet rosé* 4 oz fresh watermelon 10 strawberries 1 oz lime juice 10 mint leaves
INSTRUCTIONS • Combine your ingredients in a blender with 1 cup of ice. Blend until you have a slushie consistency. Pour into glasses or bowls and garnish with mint and berries.
*Lillet rosé is a fortified wine blend of sauvignon blanc and muscatel with notes of berries and citrus.
Garden Mary
INGREDIENTS
3 small yellow, orange and red peppers 1⁄2 serrano pepper 6 medium basil leaves 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 oz vodka 1 oz shochu* 1⁄2 tsp salt 1⁄2 tsp fresh ground pepper
INSTRUCTIONS • Blend all ingredients in a food processor until smooth. Pour into glasses with fresh ice and garnish with garden veggies.
*Shochu is a Japanese distilled spirit commonly made of barley, sweet potatoes or rice.
Peach Cobbler
INGREDIENTS
1⁄2 oz agave 1⁄2 oz lemon juice 4 peach slices 2 oz chai tea 1 oz whiskey 1 oz amontillado sherry*
INSTRUCTIONS
Add sweetener, lemon juice and peaches to mixing glass and muddle. Add tea, sherry and ice and shake. Strain into a glass with fresh crushed ice. Garnish with fresh peaches and cinnamon.
The sherry cobbler is a classic cocktail that dates to the mid-1800s and was at one time the most popular drink in the country.
